All skyline cableway systems manufactured in the Czech Republic are basically meant for the semisuspension transportation of timber. There are several types of cableways of this group manufactured in the Czech Republic such as the LS-2-500 cable system and the LARIX Series cable systems (LARIX 550, LARIX 3T and LARIX Kombi). A considerable reduction of soil damage with the skyline cableway systems is achieved by transporting timber in a full suspension. Speaking of the full suspension, however, the terrain configuration in the Czech Republic calls for the timber transportation in the full horizontal suspension, which is facilitated by a new domestic technical solution, viz the Horizont additional cable cart as an adapter to the LAK-4 cable truck.
