Evaluation of genetic relationships of some apricot accessions using fluorescent-AFLP markers
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Apricot (Prunus armenica L.), a fruit species of the family Rosaceae, genus Prunus L., is widely distributed in the Mediterranean region and the Middle East, especially in Iran. Huge diversity among apricot accessions has been observed in Iran, which isa very good genetic resource for breeding programs. Suitable climatic conditions for apricot production and its economic importance were the main reasons for the vast area under cultivation and its genetic diversity. We studied genetic relationships of 42 apricot accessions collected from new Iranian and Czech Republic collections using fluorescent-AFLP markers. The objectives of this study were to determine the genetic diversity and structure among different ecogeographical populations. We observed that five pairs of fluorescent-AFLP primers showed clear banding patterns and high levels of polymorphism amongst the 30 pairs of primers screened. Genetic diversity of different genotypes and their relationships was assessed by clustering-b
