Tramadol - the effect on Danio rerio in the growth test
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The goal of this study was to assess the effect of tramadol to the Zebra fish (Danio rerio) in the growth test. Tramadol (2-[(Dimethylamino)methyl]-1-(3-methoxyphenyl)cyclohexanol) is a centrally acting atypical opioid analgesia with additional serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake-inhibiting effects. Tramadol is used (in veterinary and humane medicine) primarily to treat moderate-severe pain, both acute and chronic. Tramadol hydrochloride has become the most prescribed opioid worldwide. It cause the presence of tramadol in the wastewaters and their recipients. The effects of tramadol on fish growth and on the activity of the oxidative stress markers and detoxifying enzyme in fish were investigated during 28 day toxicity test (according the Guidelines OECD215). In the growth test were tested the concentration from 200 ng/l (environmental concentration of tramadol in the Svratka river in Židlochovice town (CZ) was 210 ng/l) to 600 000 ng/l and the negative control. The tested concentration
