The detection of nucleated red blood cells by sysmex XT-2000iV analyzer in canine blood : mission impossible?
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
In humans, the quantification of circulating nucleated red blood cells (NRBC) is increasingly used in intensive care medicine as a negative prognostic marker. Few studies reported their association with mortality in critically ill dogs, particularly in patients with heat stroke. Because of their interference with white blood cells (WBC), no veterinary hematology system was validated for their quantification. The amount of NRBC is constantly reported per 100 WBC when performing routine blood smear morphological examination. The aim of the prospective study was to assess the usefulness of Sysmex XT-2000iV analyzer for the detection of NRBC in canine blood.
