PERSONAL RESILIENCE AND HEALTH is a contribution to the problems of psychosocial determination of health, with the focus on the holistic anthropological approach to understanding humanity. The theoretical part of the book refers to the present-day healthpsychology, its keystones and the change of paradigm which concerns an individual in the context of health and disease. In relation to psychological strain in the population of helping professionals, the book outlines the basic theoretical foundations of the stress and strain problems, and characterizes reactions to stress and strain and potential changes of health state.
