Asynchronous Machine Set for Electrical Laboratories Part 1: Noise Load
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The operation of any kind of machines or machine sets is always linked with a higher or lower noise level. When electric machines are considered, the biggest noise is produced by machines fed with a frequency converter with a low carrier frequency, by machines fed with a frequency converter in the V/f mode without carrier frequency, and especially by loaded asynchronous alternators. Considering the health protection, working in electrical laboratories, especially when using rotating machines, is frequently linked with the risk of hearing damage suffered by the laboratory staff, which results from a long-term exposure to high-level noise. Medium and higher medium frequencies of the narrow-spectral noise are the most critical. Therefore, it is essential to equip the laboratory staff with efficient hearing protectors. The paper presents the results of acoustic measurements carried out on a model of an energetic micro-source for island networks. The measurements were carried out in accordance with the standardized methodology required for varied operational modes - the range of these modes was from running without load to running at the maximum load. Both the changes in the acoustic pressure and the changes in the spectral composition of the noise produced by the machine set were monitored. From the results of the measurements it is clear that the noise spectrum shows distinctive narrow-band maxima which have to be considered when designing acoustic adjustments to laboratories or when installing generators in residential buildings.
