Ein Roman als Beitrag zur Aussöhnung von Deutschen und Tschechen nach dem Jahre 1989. Diesen Gedanken hat der bayerische Schriftsteller Manfred Böckl seinem Werk ,,Šumava. Die Saga des Böhmerwaldes“ zugrunde gelegt. Der historische Roman schildert das gemeinsame Miteinander dieser zwei Völker innerhalb von 600 Jahren. Der hier vorgelegte Beitrag zeigt, auf welche Art und Weise und in welcher Form sich der oben formulierte Wunsch des Autors in seinem Prosatext ausprägt.

A novel as a contribution to the reconciliation of Czechs and Germans after 1989. With this idea in mind, the Bavarian writer Manfred Böckl wrote his novel ̓Šumava. Die Saga des Böhmerwaldes‘. The historical novel describes the coexistence of two nations over a period of 600 years. The article presented here presents the life and work of the writer Manfred Böckl with a focus on the Bavarian-Czech theme in his work. At the same time, it shows how and in what form the author&apos;s expressed wishes are reflected in the novel ̓Šumava. Die Saga des Böhmerwaldes‘.
