Distance education has become a very up-to-date item. The article describes the categorization of distance education costs and their integration into cost and revenue functions. The aim of the article is to define the break even point - i.e. the economiceffectiveness of a course, and thus specify the number of students for the minimal effectiveness of the course for the educational institution.
