Der Aufsatz befasst sich mit den Ereignissen des Dreißigjährigen Krieges, wie sie in seinem Gedenkbuch aus den Jahren 1629-1649 Michel Stüeler, ein Gerber und Chronist aus Graupen, aufzeichnete. Während die Kämpfe zur Zeit des Böhmischen Ständeaufstandes im Gebiet des Erzgebirges nur nachhallten, mussten dortige Bürger und Dorfbewohner in den folgenden Jahren ständig kaiserliche Soldaten unterbringen und später erlebten auch feindliche Invasionen (1631-5 Sachsen, 1639-1648 Schweden). Gleichzeitig verlief da die Rekatholisierung, die von habsburgischer Seite anbefohlen wurde.

The article deals with the events of the Thirty Years&apos; War, as captured in memoirs from 1629-1649, written by tanner and chronicler Michel Stüeler, whose life and work are presented in the first part of the study. While the struggles during the Uprising of the Bohemian Estates in the area of ​​the Ore Mountains were only in echoes, in the following years the local towns and villages had to accommodate imperial soldiers and to face the invasions and requirements of the enemies (1631-5 Saxons; 1639-1648 Swedes). At the same time, there was also recatholisation performed from the Habsburg side.
