Lifelong learning is a discussed topic in all areas of professional activity. Deepening knowledge is needed because of rapid development of the society and the information´s increase. The information that an individual needs for their work changes. In the field of social work, these changes occur in several areas. Most often, these changes concern the legislation of the state. Social workers must be well informed in legislation, not only valid in the Czech Republic, but also internationally. In addition to changes in the legal field, new trends and approaches in aid methods are emerging. The article deals with the evaluation of the interest of social workers in the field of assistance to victims of crime in further education, their perception of the need for lifelong learning. Furthermore, the paper analyses specific requirements and needs that respondents would like to focus on in the context of further lifelong learning. The article also focuses on the evaluation of the most desirable form of education for these helping professionals in practice.
