A recent examination of the unpublished artefacs from the Migration Periodgrave at Pollenzo permits new insights on the composition, the dating and the interpretationof the assemblage. Particularly relevant items are the remains of an A 159 broochand of a late Roman necklace clasp. $e two items contribute to attributing the burialto the transitional horizon between the periods D2 and D2/D3.In addition, they build a telling example of the widely attested cohabitation of ‘barbarian’and ‘late Roman’ elements in clothing and jewellery sets of the early Migration Period.
