Particle Physics Grid Deployment in the Czech Republic

As an extension of the national Grid project METACenter, run by CESNET, two grid farms are to large extent dedicated to the particle physics community. The activity started under the scope of earlier EDG and currently is run within the EGEE and LCG projects. Both farms are located in Prague, at CESNET and Institute of Physics AS CR. The main applications are particle physics for ATLAS, ALICE and D0 experiments, but the farms are also open for researchers in other fields, notably in computational chemistry. For the D0 experiment SAMGRID of FNAL is also supported. Support for smaller communities is provided within the virtual organization VOCE, which links resources and users form the whole Central Europe Federation of the EGEE project. The VOCE was established and is supported by the Czech group.
