At the beginning of March (4th - 7th), web services that are provided in the Czech Republic became the target of the series of (D)DoS attacks. The paper describes the details about the type of the attacks, what type of solution and defence mechanisms were used to eliminate the attacks, process of information sharing and assesment and the role of Czech CERT/CSIRT teams during the attacks. The paper also mentions both positive and negative outcomes (lessons learned) from this situation, observations and changes triggered by this incident.
