During the fifth year of the ?Hands-on summer school on projects within the science and research areas the participants, under the supervision of experienced professionals, were able to try and see what the preparation and setting up scientific researchprojects financed from public sources are all about. They were introduced to the issues concerning project management, and this year also to the current development in European science with respect to the Horizon 2020 programme. The purpose of the summerschool was to help the participants find their way in the area of preparation and management of scientific research projects through interactive workshops using case studies from real environment as well as through the solution of practical tasks involving the participants themselves.
