Název v původním jazyce
Geophysical and geodetic control of hazard in mines
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
We performed geophysical measurements, mainly in the monitoring mode, to control hazard in open pit, as well as in deep mines. In case of a large and deep open pit coal mine we introduced tilt measurements inside an exploration gallery. Tilt data indicated high risk periods of slope instability that were caused mainly by mine blasts or hydrological processes. Tilt data were supported by hydrological observations in nearby wells, inclinometry in wells, precise leveling, direct deformation measurements and geodetic scanning of the mine edge. We also performed microgravity monitoring of an open pit mine waste dump. Gravity data were calibrated to groundwater monitoring wells. The technique indicated increased water saturation of the dump caused by drainage system problems, as well as another saturation period that resulted in disastrous mass slide.
