The contribution contains a critical edition and the commented English translation of one of the most important texts from the beginning of Alfonsine astronomy, “Quia ad inveniendum loca planetarum” (from about 1322-1327) by Iohannes de Lineriis. The edition is based on ten manuscripts from the 14th and 15th century.
