A Plan 9 port of CpG, Gary Olsen's (Department of Microbiology, University of Illinois, Urbana, Illinois) dnarates version 1.1.0 program. It reads a set of DNA sequences and a tree, and for that tree makes a maximum likelihood estimate of the rate of evolution at each site. This is done by taking the rate at each site as a separate parameter and maximizing the likelihood with respect to all those parameters. It is based in part on code from Joe Felsenstein's PHYLIP program DNAML. The program was portedby P. Čejchan to the Plan 9 Operating System from Bell Labs (Lucent). Source is ANSI-C and is free.
