Carboniferous and Permian faunas and their occurence in the limnic basins of the Czech Republic

Popis výsledku v původním jazyce

Currently used names of the fauna-bearing localities of the limnic Permo-Carboniferous basins of the Czech Republic are listed with correct stratigraphic range. The present taxonomical concept is applied to both the older material, and the still unpublished findings. The original type material was, furthermore, traced in different collections. The list of localities contains 205 occurrences (outcrops, mines, and mining dumps) and 104 boreholes. The list of fauna encompasses 400 species (1 coelenterate,4 annelids, 10 bivalves, 2 gastropods, 2 tentaculoids, 3 merostomates, 40 arachnids, 6 branchiopods, 2 ostracods, 3 malacostracans, 35 myriapods, 180 insects, 17 chondrichthyans, 5 acanthodians, 27 actinopterygians, 2 dipnoans, 1 crossopterygian, 47 amphibians, and 13 reptils) and enumerates groups of specimens that have not yet been precisely classified.
