Reynolds stress in pulsatile flow.
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Studies of the cardiovascular system are increasingly focused on the mechanical properties of blood vessel walls. To determine the mechanical properties of the artery system it is necessary to determine their dependence on hemodynamical parameters of pulsatile flow. This is possible mainly in the experimental way. The achieved results could be applied in the wide field of diagnostics. The first step in this respect was the research of pulsatile flow in a rigid tube. the results that were acquired in therespect of transition into turbulence, Reynolds stresses and pressure losses will be the basis of further research. The experimental investigation of pulsatile Newtonian fluid flow in circular rigid pipes was performed by the authors. The aim of the research was to deepen the knowledge of impact of geometry and flow parameters on origination and development of Reynolds stress and on the value of energy loss during pulsatile flow. Knowledge of origination and development of turbulent dis
