Seasonal dynamics of the selected water balance compounds in the Norway spruce, beech and oak forest stands in Slovakia. Experimental study in mesoscale basins
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This study is focused on an evaluation of preliminary findings from water regime research in the selected spruce, oak and beech forest stands in Slovakia. The experimental results related to the years 2007 and 2008 are presented. The spatial hydrologicalmodels developed for two target mesoscale basins were validated by the measured and calibrated data of volumetric soil water content (SWC%). In the paper also the seasonal development of SWC% in the forest soils of different properties in relation to the daily precipitation amount is discussed. In the measurements as well as in models the upper (15 cm) soil layer seems to be more sensitive and fluctuating than the deeper one. Based on our findings we can conclude that correctly parameterised spatial models are useful tools for hydrological analysis in mesoscale basins. Nevertheless before interpretation of results the models should be validated and so enhanced by experimental data obtained directly in the field.
