In the present contribution we shall repeat, in short, earlier investigations dealing with noise properties of digital frequency dividers, compare these results with later experimental measurements, provide a concise theoretical discussion, and combine theoretical and experimental achievements into practical formulae applicable for design and appreciation of the noise quality of digital dividers.
