Hill settlements from the Hallstatt and La T?ne periods in West Bohemia

51 hill-sites with HaC-LTD finds have been analysed in this monography. Catalogue contains the plans, drawings and photograps of the finds and findings situations. In W Bohemia were distinguished 31 fortified hill-sites, 16 unfortified and 4 with woodenenclosures. They are situated in three types of landscape (hilltop, spur, river terrace). The tablets shows the frequency of occupying of the hill-sites in the sequence from the Neolithic to the High Middle Ages. The exact dating within the periods HaC-LTD is based on ceramic complexes of various amount, as well as on finds of metal brooches and other objects. For the morphological analyse of ceramic finds were developed a numeric system. The spatial spread of hill-settlements is studied in relation tothe natural environment and the settlement in their neighbourhood. At the beginning of LTB is recognised a rupture in the long continuity of the development.
