Artikel fasst die Informationen darüber, wie die Präsentation ausgegrabenen vorgeschichtlichen Grabhügel in Süd- und Westböhmen der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich zu machen. Zuerst wurden die durch die Ausgrabungen freigelegten Befundsituationen mit Steinkränzen und Grabkammern mit nur kleinen Modifikationen an der Fundstelle hinterlassen. Später wurden auf Basis fotografischer und zeichnerischer Dokumentationen verschiedene Modelle von Bestattungen unter Grabhügeln in Museen gebaut. Das Beispiel des Grabhügels von Rovná zeigt, dass die neuesten Technologien (3D-Rekonstruktion) auch für die Rekonstruktion und Präsentation vorgeschichtlicher Grabhügel genutzt werden können. Diese 3D-Rekonstruktion im Falle von Rovná in der geplanten archäologischen Abteilung des Südböhmischen Museums in České Budějovice genutzt werden wird.

The paper summarizes past and present methods of public presentation applied to prehistoric burial mounds, excavated in southern and western Bohemia. Initially, excavated situations and relics of sepulchral stone structures have been often left in place with only minor adjustments. Later, drawing reconstructions and also scale models of the burials under the mounds began to be created, especially as a part of museum exhibitions. In the case of princely burial mound from the site Rovná, digital 3D reconstruction of the wooden chamber and precious grave goods from the turn of the 6th/5th century BC was made, as probably one of the best forms of presentation to the public. This particular reconstruction will be used for scientific publications and also within a future permanent exhibition in the Museum of South Bohemia in České Budějovice.
