In dem vorliegenden Beitrag werden die äneolithischen schweren Kupfergegenstände (Flachbeile, Hammer- und Kreuz-äxte) behandelt, die bisher im böhmisch-mährischen Äneolithikum (ca. 4400–2200 v. Chr.) nachgewiesen bzw. veröffentlicht wurden (Stand für Mähren von 2019, für Böhmen von 2017). Kurz wird der aktuelle Quellenstand vorgestellt und mögliche Alternativen zur Rolle der schweren Kupfergegenstände in der damaligen Gesellschaft kommentiert. Der Hauptteil des Beitrags konzentriert sich auf eine umfassende Auswertung des verfügbaren Fundbestands, und zwar schrittweise in den vier Hauptetappen des böhmisch-mährischen Äneolithikums (Frühäneolithikum, Altäneolithikum, Mitteläneolithikum und Jungäneolithikum). Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf der chronologischen Stellung einzelner Fundklassen und -typen, dem Bezug der präsentierten Artefakte zum zeitgenössischen Fundumfeld Mittel- und Südosteuropas und im Kontext ihrer Materialzusammensetzung auch auf den Beziehungen zu einzelnen vermuteten Produktionszentren (Siebenbürgen, Slowakei, Ostalpen). Erwähnt werden auch äneolithische Belege der pyrotechnologischen Metallverarbeitung aus dem Gebiet der Tschechischen Republik.

This paper deals with the Eneolithic heavy copper objects (flat axes, axe-hammers, adze-axes) that have been recorded or published so far (in Moravia as of 2019, in Bohemia as of 2017) in the Bohemian-Moravian Eneolithic (c. 4400–2200 BC). The current structure of the source material is briefly mentioned, and possible alternatives to the role of heavy copper objects in society at that time are commented on. The main part of the contribution is focused on a comprehensive evaluation of the available stock of finds, proceeding gradually through the four main stages of the Bohemian-Moravian Eneolithic (Initial, Early, Middle, and Late Eneolithic). Emphasis is placed on the chronological position of individual classes and types of finds, the relationship of the artefacts presented here to their contemporaneous environment in Central and Southeast Europe, and, in the context of their material composition, on the links to their presumed production centres (Transylvania, Slovakia, Eastern Alps). The Eneolithic evidence of the pyrotechnological processing of metal from the territory of the Czech Republic is also mentioned.
