Der Artikel gibt einen Überblick über die digitale Edition BeGrenzte Flucht, die das Schicksal jener österreichischen Flüchtlinge dokumentiert, die 1938 versuchten, in die Tschechoslowakei zu fliehen. Die Edition macht dafür etwa hundert Dokumente aus tschechischen, österreichischen und internationalen Archiven zugänglich. Durch die Verwendung beispielhafter Dokumente untersucht der Artikel ausgewählte Aspekte der Geschichte der Flucht und Vertreibung in die Tschechoslowakei, diskutiert den aktuellen Forschungsstand und geht auf die Methodologie der Edition ein.

The article provides an overview of the digital edition BeGrenzte Flucht which documents the fates of Austrian refugees trying to flee to Czechoslovakia in 1938 and publishes about a hundred documents from Czech, Austrian and international archives. Using selected documents as examples, it examines chosen aspects of the history of refugees to Czechoslovakia, discusses the current state of research and explains the methodology of the edition.
