The “Early Music in Central Europe: Local Elements –Transregional Connections – International Research” lecture series, organized jointly by the Masaryk Institute and Archives, Czech Academy of Sciences, Project “Old Myths, New Facts: Czech Lands in Centre of 15th-Century Music Developments”, the Institute of Musicology, Slovak Academy of Sciences, Project “CANTUS PLANUS in Slovakia”, and the Research Centre for the Humanities, Hungary, Project “Momentum: Digital Music Fragmentology”, aims to bring together medieval musicological scholarship across the Central European region that has too often been conducted within national boundaries that do not reflect the interconnectedness of medieval the region’s medieval culture.
