Die Studie analysiert die Testamente von katholischen Flüchtlingen aus hussitischen Städten in Böhmen, die während der Hussitenrevolution und ihrer Folgen (1421–1454) entstanden sind. Besonderes Augenmerk gilt der inhaltlichen Analyse der Dokumente, die sich sowohl mit dem vorhandenen als auch mit dem unzugänglichen, konfiszierten, am ursprünglichen Wohnort zurückgelassenen Eigentum beschaffen. Wir versuchen auch, die in den Texten erwähnten Personen zu identifizieren, sowohl die Begünstigten des vererbten Vermögens als auch die Zeugen und Testamentsvollstrecker. Auf der Grundlage von dieser Daten werden persönliche und institutionelle Verbindungen zu anderen Exilanten und ständigen Bewohnern des Exilortes untersucht. Schließlich werden testamentarische Auseinandersetzungen, Restitutionsversuche und deren institutionelle Unterstützung untersucht.

The study analyses the last wills and testaments of Catholic refugees from Hussite towns in Bohemia, which were created during the Hussite Revolution and its aftermath (1421–1454). Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the content of the documents which deal both with the available property in the exile locality and especially with the inaccessible, confiscated property left behind in the place of original residence. We also try to identify the persons mentioned in the texts, both the beneficiaries of the bequeathed property and the witnesses and executors of the wills. On the basis of this data, personal and institutional links to other exiles and permanent residents of the exile locality are examined. Finally, attention is given to testamentary disputes, attempts at restitution proceedings and their institutional support.
