This paper presents the main results of MAB research in three different types of wetlands of the TBBR, accomplished predominantly between the 1970s and 1990 s. These three wetland types are fishponds, their marginal wetlands and mires. The paper describes and analyses the impacts of fishpond management on the main plant component of fishpond ecosystems.
