We observed several populations of Euphorbia peplus differing in their disturbance history and tested whether populations have adapted to particular disturbance regime. We also tested whether the adaptation was enabled by genetic change and/or by transgenerational effects. We found that local adaptation together with transgenerational effects have evolved in more severely disturbed populations but not in less severely disturbed populations of E. peplus.
