Corrigendum to An affordable and reliable assessment of aquatic decomposition: Tailoring the Tea Bag Index to surface waters [Water Research (2019) 31–43]
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Corrigendum includes correction of the calculation of decomposition rate [ k1 ] and stabilization factor [S] in aquatic ecosystems, this calculation included an error in original paper published in 2019. It was stated in original version of the paper that the k1 and S in aquatic ecosystems are somewhat higher than the ones obtained in other ecosystems. The re-calculation published in Corrigendum has shown that the opposite is true. The correction of interpretation is provided now along with the new result. Together with the obviously lower oxygen concentrations in aquatic systems (especially near the sediments) the lower k1 and S values found in this study correspond well to our existing knowledge on differences between aquatic and terrestrial decomposition.
