Database of J. A. Comenius correspondence was created within the international Cultures of Knowledge Project based at the University of Oxford funded from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. It is a part of the online database Early Modern Letters Online (EMLO). Comenius database contains descriptions and images of manifestations of 567 letters sent or received by Comenius with incipits, explicits, abstracts, notes, place, date, information on as secondary literature and people mentioned in the letters, and images of original manuscripts and earlier printed editions. Thanks to its detailed elaboration the database serves as a solid basis for the future critical edition of Comenius? correspondence. Editors gradually enrich the database with new additions and notes which make this database reliable and updated source for all interested in Comenius? correspondence, his life and work.
