Avec la publication de Phantasia, imagination, affectivité (en 2004) Richir ouvre le chantier d’une anthropologie proprement phénoménologique qui conçoit l’humain à partir des trois concepts qui constituent le titre du livre. Cette anthropologie se déploie par une confrontation avec la psychanalyse et surtout avec la psychopathologie, en partant de l’idée que les conditions pathologiques sont des “révélateurs” des structures complexes de l’imagination et de l’affectivité chez l’humain. Penseur de l'excès, Richir s’intéresse principalement aux souffrances liées à l’excès de l’imagination sur l’affectivité ou, vice versa, de l’affectivité sur l’imagination et trouve le lieu transcendantal de la possibilité de tels excès dans ce qu’il appelle, en reprenant ce concept à la tradition psychanalytique, le fantasme. Dans le présent article nous esquissons les grandes lignes de l’interprétation richirienne du fantasme et nous montrons comment, à travers cette interprétation, le fantasme acquiert un statut transcendantal dans le cadre d’une anthropologie phénoménologique.

With the publication of Phantasia, imagination, affectivité (in 2004) Richir opens the construction site of a properly phenomenological anthropology that conceives the human being through the three concepts that constitute the title of the book. This anthropology unfolds through a confrontation with psychoanalysis and above all with psychopathology, starting from the idea that pathological conditions are “revealing” of the complex structures of imagination and affectivity in humans. A thinker of excess, Richir is mainly interested in the sufferings linked to the excess of imagination over affectivity or, vice versa, of affectivity over imagination, and finds the transcendental site of the possibility of such excesses in what he calls, taking this concept from the psychoanalytical tradition, fantasy (fantasme). In this article we outline the main lines of the Richirian interpretation of fantasy and show how, through this interpretation, fantasy acquires a transcendental status within the framework of a phenomenological anthropology.
