Der Artikel befasst sich mit einer spezifischen Dialektik der negativen und affirmativen Theologie, die im anonymen Parmenides-Kommentar und in Adversus Arium Ib des Marius Victorinus vorkommt. Aufgrund einer detaillierten Untersuchung beider Texte argumentiert der Autor, dass sie eine ähnliche dialektische Methode benutzen, sich jedoch in deren Anwendung auf die erste und zweite Eine und in ihrer Erörterung des Bezugs zwischen dem transzendenten Einen und der Triade Existenz–Leben–Denken unterscheiden. Daraus schließt er, dass beide Auffassungen zwei verschiedene Varianten eines verwandten metaphysischen Konzepts darstellen. Schließlich versucht er zu zeigen, dass die dialektische Theologie vom Neupythagoreismus des 1. Jahrhunderts v. Ch. inspiriert werden dürfte.

The article deals with a specific dialectic of negative and affirmative theology which occurs in the anonymous commentary on Parmenides and in Against Arius Ib by Marius Victorinus. Based on a detailed examination of both texts, the author argues that they use a similar dialectical method but differ in their application of it to the first and second One and in their solution of the problem of the relationship of the transcendent One and the triad existence–life–intelligence. He comes to the conclusion that both texts include two different variants of one cognate metaphysical concept. Finally, he tries to show that the dialectical theology may have been inspired by Neopythagoreanism of the 1st century BC.
