This book represents a highly original philosophical reconstruction of the core of the Buddha’s teaching, “Four Noble Truths”. The book complexly analyses the Four Noble Truths from historical, ontological, epistemological and ethical perspectives, showing that the Buddha’s teachings offer a highly stimulating and valuable intellectual contribution to the contemporary world. The book is accompanied by a foreword by Petr Kužel and Jiří Holba, which provides a summary of the historical and contemporary significance of the book and the context in which it was written.
