Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Africa is undergoing a new and revolutionary phase of development from the perspectives of philosophy, sociology, political science and other disciplines. The old, and still widely used in many analyses, divisions between the pre-colonial, colonial and post-colonial eras have long since ceased to reflect the complex developments in Africa. Conceptually speaking, this has to do with the overall transformation of the world constellation after the end of Cold War bipolarism. The advent of unilateralism in the 1990s has now been largely replaced by a multipolar and multilateral world order and the associated qualitatively new interest in Africa, although unipolar tendencies (which try to keep a global hegemony) still refuse to leave the scene. How Africa, as a continent still disunited and subject to strong influences from external forces, will be able to face this new extreme pressure, fraught with global and local disputes, and what positives and negatives may or will arise for it from this current process of development in the near future, is the inherent central thematic focus of the reviewed book, as is the review itself.
