The article is a result of the collaboration of an archivist-historian and a cartographer. As such, it brings a detailed analyses of important old town plans of Prague dating back to the XVIII century: Joseph Daniel Hubers´ planimetric and perspective plans (1769). Both of the plans remaind in manuscript form and are preserved in the Austrian National Library. Firstly, the authors describe, based on primary archival sources, the circumstances of their origin, their possible mutual relationship and the relationship to other maps and plans of the period, secondly, they bring the results of cartometric analyses and, thirtly, they persent the way of publication of the plans on the web map potral of Prague historical cartography and iconography run by the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech republic: towns.hiu.cas.cz.
