Die Einberufung und Versammlung der Slaven im Prag im Juni 1848 bot den Anlass, 175 Jahre danach am Ort des historischen Geschehens den Verlauf und vor allem auch die Wirkung dieses Ereignisses in der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts zu thematisieren. Die Tagung wurde am 7. bis 10. Juni 2023 von acht historisch-wissensfaftlichen Institutionen veranstaltet (​GWZO – Leibniz-Institut für Geschichte und Kultur des östlichen Europa, Leipzig, CC – Collegium Carolinum, Forschungsinstitut für die Geschichte Tschechiens und der Slowakei, München, HI - Herder-Institut für historische Ostmitteleuropaforschung – Institut der Leibniz-Gemein­schaft, Marburg, ZBSA - Zentrum für Baltische und Skandinavische Archäologie, Schleswig, Historický ústav AV ČR, v.v, Filosofický ústav AV ČR, v.v, Masarykův ústav a Archiv Akademie věd ČR, Archeologický ústav AV ČR, v.v). Koordination der Konferenz übernahmen Petr Sommer, Christian Lübke, Milan Hlavačka a Filip Binder.

The convocation and assembly of the Slavs in Prague in June 1848 provided the opportunity, 175 years later, to address the course and, above all, the impact of this event in the second half of the 19th century at the site of the historical event. The conference was organized on June 7th to 10th, 2023 by eight historical institutions (GWZO - Leibniz Institute for the History and Culture of Eastern Europe, Leipzig, CC – Collegium Carolinum, Research Institute for the History of the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Munich, HI - Herder Institute for Historical East Central European Research – Institute of the Leibniz Association, Marburg, ZBSA - Center for Baltic and Scandinavian Archeology, Schleswig, Historický ústav AV ČR, v.v, Filosofický ústav AV ČR, v.v, Masarykův ústav a Archiv Akademie věd ČR, Archeologický ústav AV ČR, v.v). The conference was coordinated by Petr Sommer, Christian Lübke, Milan Hlavačka and Filip Binder.
