Die Autorin skizziert mögliche Zugänge zum Thema, die Aussagekraft verschiedener Arten von Primärquellen und reflektiert die Probleme und Möglichkeiten der Forschung, die am Institut für Geschichte der CAS unter der Leitung der Autorin im Rahmen des Projekts „Lumina quaeruntur LQ 300151901 Migration und Mobilität in der Prager jüdischen Gemeinde am Übergang vom Mittelalter zur frühen Neuzeit“ durchgeführt wurde.
