Lo studio si concentra sul tema delle relazioni creditizie nell'ambiente della corte dell'imperatore Rodolfo II. Per questa ricerca mirata è stato scelto l'esempio di due figure di spicco della corte rudolfina, come il costruttore imperiale Ulrico Aostalli de Sala e l'antiquario imperiale Ottavio Strada da Rossberg. Vengono esaminate le condizioni e il processo di negoziazione dei prestiti dei cortigiani e le loro relazioni finanziarie con gli ebrei e altri clienti. Attingendo alle fonti primarie, lo studio cerca di cogliere alcune delle caratteristiche più generali di queste relazioni finanziarie che si svilupparono nella Praga rudolfina tra la corte e l'ambiente urbano e la comunità ebraica.

Credit Transactions of Italian courtiers at the Rudolph II court

The study focuses on the issue of credit relations in the court environment of Emperor Rudolf II. For this focused research, the example of two prominent figures of the Rudolphine court, such as the imperial builder Ulrico Aostalli de Sala and the imperial antiquarian Ottavio Strada da Rossberg, was chosen. The conditions and process of negotiating the courtiers' loans and their financial relations with Jews and other clients are examined. Drawing on primary sources, the study attempts to capture some of the more general features of these financial relationships developing in Rudolphine Prague between the court and urban milieu and the Jewish community.
