Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The presentation introduced the *e-Ilustrace* database, which was developed as the result of a three-year research project carried out by the Library of the Czech Academy of Sciences and the National Library of the Czech Republic in collaboration with technology partners. The database provides access to more than 6,000 digitized visual elements from early printed books, including illustrations, initials, and other book decorations, along with rich metadata, including bibliographic information and iconographic descriptions. The main focus of the presentation was a practical demonstration of two digital tools for book illustration research: *ICONCLASS* for iconographic classification and *VISE* for automated image analysis and comparison. The presentation highlighted the contribution of these tools to tracking and analyzing book illustrations across different editions and their application in the study of early modern material culture.
