The study, dealing with differences in parent-child interactions in healthy and oncologically ill children, is a part of the Longitudinal Study of QoL in Paediatric Oncology Patients. The sample consisted of 358 participants (89 childhood cancer survivors and 269 healthy children) who participated in the study in 2006-2009. Parental interest, control and warmth were higher in cancer survivors than in healthy children. In younger cancer survivors the parental interest, control and warmth were higher than in older ones. Interest and control were higher in older parents. Warmth and inconsistence were higher in younger parents. No difference was found in child?s gender, number of siblings and child?s diagnosis.
