Anfälle der Ungarn und der Untergang Großmährens in den Jahren 905-906 hatten eine grundsätzliche Folgerung für das Schicksal von Mikulčice als das führende Zentrum des großmährischen Staates. Der Artikel fasst archäologische Belege der gewaltigen Ereignisse in Mikulčice an der Wende des 9./10. Jahrhunderts zusammen sowie die Änderungen in der Besiedlung und Sachkultur des Zentrums während des 10. Jahrhunderts.

Raids of Hungarians and extinction of Great Moravia in the years 905-906 had principle consequences for the fate of Mikulčice as a prominent centre of Great-Moravian state. The article summarizes archaeological evidence of violent events at Mikulčice inthe break of 9th/10th century, changes in the settlement and material culture of the centre during the 10th century.
