Der Aufsatz versucht zwei der herausragendsten Fundstellen der frühen Merowingezeit aus Mähren neu auszuwerten. Beide belegen trotz der starken Ausplünderung, dass sie als Grabstätten der höchsten sozialen Schicht gedient haben. Mehr als 7 in tiefes Kammergrab auf dem kleinen Gräberfeld von Šakvice lässt sich als Ruhestätte einer sehr hochgestellen Person der langobardischen Gesellschaft aus der Zeitte des 6. Jhs. betrachten. Die Analyse des Kammergrabes II im berühmten Grabhügel von Žuráň bei Brno hatIndizien dafür erbracht, dass hier wohl die Tochter des herulischen Königs Rodulf und spätere Gemahlin des langobardischen Königs Waeho beigesetzt wurde. Den antropologischen Analysen nach sie starb eines gewaltsamen Todes.

The article attempts to re-evaluate two of the most outstanding sites the early Merovingian era in Moravia. In spite of having been severely plundered, the sites demostrably served as the tombs of the highhest social statum. More than 7 m deep chamber grave within the small cemetery at Šakvice support to the assumtion that it was very probably the final resting place of a very high-ranking person of Langobardic society from around the mid 6th century. Analyses of the chamber grave No II from the well known barrow at Žuráň near Brno yielded serious evidence that it was probably the grave of the daughter of the Erulian king Rodulf and later wife of the Langobardic king Wachos. According to new antropological investigation she died a violent death.
