Complex nature of some of fundamental problems of wide array of scientific issues of both natural sciences and humanities present a prerequisite for implementation of tools allowing better understanding of products of their dynamics of development. Development dynamics of past human societies, their structure, and spatial distribution of population can be alternatively described through complex systems and as such they can be studied. An agent-based modelling represents either a thinking framework, method or analysis set of software tools allowing among others construction of artificial societies on basis of available archaeological sources, proxy data, estimates, and features of existing theoretical models concerning development and overall functioning of such systems.
