The well-known site of Dolní Věstonice I (South Moravia, Czech Republic) continuously holds the interest of Palaeolithic archaeologists and even after 100 years of research and investigation offers new insights concerning life of Gravettian hunter-gatherers and events preceding the Last Glacial Maximum. One of the proofs is the new research of mammoth bone deposit on the eastern periphery of the site in 2022 and 2023, which provided significant amount of new finding material and enabled the documentation and collection of a wide range of new data through interdisciplinary cooperation.
