The paper is devoted to the characterisation of the complex relations between vegetation cover and dynamic geomorphic agents (slope movements ? especially sliding and floods) in the Central and Eastern Moravia. This areas belong to the Outer Western Carpathians, where the extreme rainfall of July 1997 conditioned large foods ? the Bečva river in the Central Moravia and activated a lot of slope deformations ? the Vsetín Region in the Eastern Moravia. On the basis of biogeographic investigation, some prognosis of future development of biota were postulated.
