Terrestrial Laser Scanning: a Dataframe for multiply Research in a Pseudokarst Area, Case Study of the Locality Ledove Sluje (Ice Caves) in the Podyji National Park, Czech Republic
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The locality Ledové sluje (Ice Caves) in Podyjí National Park (Czech Republic), with an extensive system of pseudokarst caves, has been known since the mid of 19th century. Many scientific activities (speleological, microclimatological, geophysical, structural engineering, forest ecology etc.) increased in this area after the National Park was declared in 1991. It was difficult to draw a detailed map of this locality because of extremely complicated terrain conditions (rock debris, block fields, steep slopes, etc.). For this reason, Terrestrial Laser Scanning (TLS) combined with Total Station (TS) and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) was used to prepare a high quality digital elevation model (DEM) as a spatial data frame for terrain-caves metric analysis as well as for other research activities. This paper describes the practical experience with 3D laser scanner Leica Scan station C10 in a pseudo-karst area as a concept of time management, based on scanning resolution and area
