Geo3M day was added to the traditional Colloquium on Geomechanics and Geophysics as a day with focus on three important aspects of geotechnics ? mechanics, materials and modelling. These aspects are represented in Geo3M day by both invited lectures of distinguished foreign experts and lectures given by researchers from the Institute of Geonics AS CR, which is the organizer of the event. Geo3M has also a personal level as characterize topics of the outstanding research work of Prof. Ove Stephansson. Oneof the aims of this day is to give a tribute to his work expressed in awarding him by František Pošepný Honorary Medal for Merit in Geological Sciences of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. Geo3M Day is organized by the Institute of Geonics AS CR in collaboration with the National Group of the International Society for Rock Mechanics (ISRM). The organization of the Geo3M and the subsequent colloquium is supported by OKD, Green Gas DPB and the Visegrad fund. This support is gr
