La pizarra para cubiertas es una roca natural que se lleva extrayendo y elaborando desde los tiempos del Imperio Romano. Este dilatado periodo de explotación ha hecho que gran parte del patrimonio arquitectónico histórico europeo este construido con esta roca. En los últimos años, los actores locales españoles están empezando a plantear acciones para salvaguardar y preservar el patrimonio industrial de la industria de la pizarra, teniendo en cuenta las experiencias obtenidas en otros países. Este trabajo compara las actuaciones llevadas a cabo en distintos países, analizando las diferencias y similitudes entre ellos.n

Roofing slate is a natural rock that has been extracted and manufactured since the times of the Roman Empire. This long period of exploitation has meant that a large part of Europe’s historical architectural heritage is built with this rock. In recent years, local Spanish actors are beginning to propose actions to safe- guard and preserve the industrial heritage of the slate industry, taking into account the experiences obtained in other countries. This work compares the actions carried out in different countries, analyzing the differences and similarities between them.n
