Der Beitrag vergleicht die beiden Zyklen Aus der Harzreise von Heine und Stichi, sočinennye vo vremja putešestvija von Aleksandr Puškin, um im Zuge dessen auf Konvergenzen und Divergenzen lyrischer und epischer Reiseliteratur einzugehen. Die Zusammenfassung der Einzelgedichte zu Zyklen bringt jeweils neue Konstellationen textlicher Kohärenz mit sich. Als maßgeblich für die Reiselyrik betont der Beitrag vor allem eine „Tendenz zur raumzeitlichen Konzentration“ und die Fokussierung auf „Stimmungen, Gefühl[e] und Gedanken“. Gleichzeitig weist der Beitrag anhand der Texte Heines und Puškins aber auch „Verfahren der Episierung“ nach, z.B. durch das „epische Prinzip der horizontalen Sukzession einzelner Etappen“. Obwohl sich beide Autoren persönlich nie begegneten, stehen sie sich doch im Sinne einer „poetisch-poetologische[n] Verwandtschaft“ (Renate Lachmann) nah.

The study compares the poetic travel cycles of H. Heine and A. Pushkin in terms of convergences and divergences of lyrical and epic travel literature. Combining individual poems into a cycle brings new constellations of textual coherence. The study focuses on typical elements of travel lyrics, which are the „tendency to concentrate time and space“ and capture „moods, feelings and thoughts“. At the same time, the study, based on the Pushkin and Heine cycles, points to the „process of episation“, manifested, for example, in the „epic principle of horizontal succession of individual stages“. Although the two poets never met in person, they are very close in the sense of „poetic-poetological kinship“ (R. Lachmann).
